Description
Seeds are soaking in cold water for 24 to 48 hours NURSERY TECHNIQUE: Pre-treated seeds are broadcasted on primary beds and covered lightly with fine sand or pulverised soil. Seedlings are pricked out into polybags when the first pair of leaflets appear.
Normally it is from India. Also grows on eroded, rocky, thin mineral soib and deeply weathered or alluvial soils. It thrives on acidic soils with a pH of 1 to 4.5. Pretreatment: 10 parts of boiling water is added to I part of seed and allowed to stand for 30 seconds. Then the hot water is drained and it is replaced with normal water and kept overnight for soaking. Nursery Technique: Pretreated seeds are broadcast on the primary bed and lightly covered with fine sand or pulverized soil. Seedlings are cut into polybags when first pair of leaves appear
