Unique Craftsmanship Beyond Clay

Join us to experience the beauty and uniqueness of blue pottery while supporting the artisans who make it possible!

Blue pottery it is the only form in the world that does not use clay. Instead, its "dough" is made from a distinctive mix of materials, including quartz stone powder, powdered glass, Multani Mitti (Fuller's Earth), borax, gum, and water. Some variations of the recipe also incorporate ingredients like ‘Katira Gond’ powder (a type of gum) and ‘Saaji’ (soda bicarbonate). The unique composition and the use of Egyptian paste, which is glazed and low-fired, give blue pottery its recognizable appearance and smooth, glass-like finish.

Blue pottery is not just a craft; it is a blend of art and tradition. To celebrate and support this unique craftsmanship, Anuna is organizing a live shopping session directly with the artisans. During these sessions, you can order custom-made items, allowing the artisans to create pieces that bring joy to you and your loved ones. The first live session is free for 30 minutes! To book a session, email us at info@anuna.in.
