Sikki grass painting is a handicraft that are made from a special kind of grass known as sikki found in Northern Bihar and is a folk Art of Mithila. Sikki the beautiful golden grasses are crafted into a pictures on handmade board. The sikki craft is known by its beautiful golden color, so it is also called as Golden Grass. Sikki is dried and the flower head is cut off. The resulting fine golden fibred is used in making lovely handcrafted Sikki grass culture paintings /wall hangings.
