Asafoetida commonly known as Hing or Heeng in Indian sub-continent is very exotic spice. It grows only in very limted areas of the world.

Pure & Organic Asafoetida is very hard to find now-a-days as there are many people who add fillers like gum arabic, wheat flour, rice flour, fenugreek seed powder and some people even add turmeric powder to give it a yellow colour.

Just add a little of this Asafoetida in your recipes for an authentic flavour and aroma.

Asafoetida is a key ingredient in every kitchen of Indian Sub-continent. It is extensively used in dhal or dal, curries, soups and vegetables.
People who forbid using Onion & Garlic due to certain religious or personal reasons use Hing as an alternative.
