Kansa is an Indian name for bell metal or bronze. An ultra-superior metal, Kansa is an alloy of Copper with approximately 4:1 ratio of copper to tin, both heated together up to 700 centigrade to form pure bronze. A malleable metal in itself, the prepared alloy is further moulded into handcrafted products and can acquire different kinds of finishes – matt or glossy, depending on the aesthetic preferences. Kansa is usually used to eat food and drink water on a daily basis which helps enhancing the gut health.

According to Ayurveds, it enhances intellect. It is believed that using Kansa to eat our food and drink water from on a daily basis enhances our immunity apart from purifying the food. Kansa is a good conductor of heat and retains heat well, thereby keeping the food warmer and its contents richer for a longer period of time.

This kansa or bronze plate is a must have product for your home, make your kitchen perfect with these traditional bronze kitchen accessories. Bronze is typically very ductile alloys, it also oxidize as it is a mixture of copper & tin and it need to be cleaned in every 2-3 days to preserve its shining.

Care: 1. To keep bronze pieces always shiny, you have to clean and polish them as soon as they start losing their luster. The sooner you re-polish, the easier it is to make them shine.

2. You will need to repeatedly wash the bronze items by cleaning powder or paste (lemon juice & baking soda) to clean of the Patina.

3. Gloves are recommended, especially if you have several bronze pieces to clean, because prolonged contact with acid of lemon or cleaning powder is not good for your hands.

Note: - Copper or brass reacts with sour food, salt and lemon which can be harmful for the body. Foods like pickle, curd, etc. should not keep in it.
