Madhubani is a traditional Art that originates from Madhubani district in the State of Bihar, India. It is said to have started 2500 years back and depicted at that time stories of Rama and Sita and various other Hindu Gods and Goddesses. This style of Art disappeared before being rediscovered and popularized in 1934. The modern Madhubhani Art is now painted on handmade and recycled paper and depicts also scenes from nature.
